Make a splash at Dalmellington pool's big swim

You can get in the swim in Dalmellington when the nation’s biggest ever swimming campaign- the Big Splash - is coming to our local pool!

Doon Valley Leisure Centre, Dalmellington has joined forces with British Swimming and the BBC to inspire our local communities to swim. The pool will be holding a number of exciting Big Splash activities including:

• Family Fun Swim – Mondays 4pm to 6.15pm and Saturdays 1pm to 3pm – entry is £3 for up to two adults and five kids
• Aquazumba – Tuesdays 8pm to 9pm
• Come and Tri Triathlon – start training now for a Triathlon to be held on Sunday 29 April

Double Olympic champion Becky Adlington is supporting the campaign. She said: “Swimming is my life but just getting in the pool a couple of times a week is a really great way of getting active and staying healthy. I’m right behind anything that encourages people to take the plunge and swim more often.”
